Monique Kennedy, LMT #6734
In the late 90's I was experiencing very strong neck/shoulder pain and began to receive massage on a regular basis. It provided me with incredible relief. I was amazed and immediately wanted to learn more about this healing art.
I made the decision to go back to school and graduated from the NY College of Health Professions with an Academic Excellence award, and an associate’s degree in Massage Therapy in 2005. NY Bodywork therapists must meet the most stringent educational standards in the U.S., which includes a 1000-hour program plus internship. Ultimately, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As a practitioner of this ancient healing profession, I feel blessed and grateful. By giving and receiving massage, over the years, I have become a more balanced and centered person and I didn't miss the stressful corporate world.
I have a special interest in trigger point, neck and shoulder issues, as well as postural correction. Continuing Education: pelvic girdle assessment
& treatment, trigger point/taut Band therapy, head/neck deep chronic and acute injury, orthopedic techniques for the neck, and therapeutic stretching.
